What is Social Feed ?

SocialFeed is a news personalization service. It personalizes your news based upon the news you subscribe to and how you interact with it. SocialFeed's goal is to help you discover relevant news and news sources.

When you start using SocialFeed you will select the categories of news that interest you. If you have specific feeds you are interested in, then you can add them in. SocialFeed then monitors which articles you read and what you do with them to measure your interest in the topic. In a separate tab you will find news that SocialFeed recommends to you. It will be laid out in the categories that interest you, that way you won't get news that you don't want.
SocialFeed recommends news based upon how similar your behavior is to other users reading the same news articles. It works like book and movie recommendation systems that you may already be familiar with.

Socialfeed is now in its experimental phase and the account is based on invitation. If you already know Socialfeed loginID and password, you can login to using them. And you do already have an invitation from Socialfeed, you can start to use Socialfeed clicking URL written in that email. But you cannot use full features before you sign up to Socialfeed.

In addition to the news you subscribe to, SocialFeed recommends relevant news to you from sources you might not be aware of or wouldn't normally search. Why search when you can have it brought to you?

SocialFeed makes it easy to forward news to friends for discussion. SocialFeed also lets you manage news stories that have been forwarded to you in one place.

SocialFeed makes it easy to save news that you want to refer to at a later date. If the page disappears on the original site or you can't find it, then you can still refer to it in SocialFeed.
